Larry Pitt joined the Board in 2012 and served as a member until 2014 when he was elected to the position as Chairman.  Larry retired in 2010 after 15 years as a Case Manager for Work & Income in Waipukurau.  His governance experience includes time spent on the Property & Finance Committee of St Andrews Church; Board Member, Vice Chairman and then Chairman of the local branch of Age Concern.  He still works as a volunteer for Age Concern.  Larry has 3 adult children and nine grandchildren.

Peter Fleming has been a trustee since April 2015.  Peter has recently retired as Managing Director of Central Hawkes Bay Funeral Services Ltd after over 37 years funeral directing in Central Hawkes Bay.  He has considerable governance experience having served as Chairman of CHB College Board of Governors and Board of Trustees, and is a former Director and President of the Rotary Club of Waipukurau.  Peter is currently a trustee of CHB District Community Trust, owners of AW Parsons Pool and Stadium Complex, and is Director of the HB Rugby Union having also served as HBRU President 2008 - 2010.  Peter is married to Sharon, they have three married children and seven grandchildren.

Jacky Stafford and her husband have farmed in the Central Hawkes Bay since 1995 and  they have two sons.  Jacky's strength and passion has been in governance of non-profit organisations.  She was on the National Council of Rural Woman New Zealand for 14 years, six of those as the National Finance Chair.  For six years Jacky sat on the Board of a charitable company that provided homecare throughout New Zealand. Despite not being an education professional she has held significant roles in the education sector including being on the following boards; New Zealand School Trustees Association, Board of Trustees of the Correspondence School, Rural Education Reference Group, Leaders Forum Qualification Group, Primary School Board of Trustees and a Boys College Board of Trustees.  Being a strong advocate for access to Broadband, Jacky is on the National Advisory Committee for the Rural Broadband Initiative.  She is involved in several committees in the CHB community.  Jacky has an open attitude and strong principles.

Vera Smith is very involved in the Otane community where she has lived for 42 enjoyable years.  Her four children live locally and have blessed her with 12 grandchildren and 3 great grand daughters to spend time with.  For the last 20 years Vera has been a Justice of the Peace, during that time she has done some J.P. court work.Her other interests are committee member of CHB Settler Museum, Progressive Otane, Otane Hall Committee, CHB Business and Professional Women, President of Friends of the History and she also belongs to a book club.  For 23 years she has been self employed, as owner of Otane Paint Strippers, in November 2014 she sold her workshops and now works from home on a part time basis.  She has been a Board member of Central Connect since the beginning of 2015.  She has found this an enjoyable learning experience well worth being involved with.

Geoff Strother is married to Diane who is a personal trainer and he has two adult children living locally.  His son is an electrician and his daughter a Mum to three lovely grandchildren.  Geoff has 33 years experience working as policeman including roles in Victim Support and Family Violence.  He is passionate about helping victims and offenders and is completing a Diploma in Psychology to further his interest.
